I mean, why not? Hell, it's huge. But man, if I'm gonna have a blog, I might as well post my ideas! Yes? :) It's also watermarked for protection. Only I get to see the unwatermarked version. Individual pictures are up for grabs as well, but I may not be able to upload all the individuals on this post, so just ask and I may show you. It might be easier to upload each character on their own, even though that's like, 19 pictures... I'll give you the whole thing, then the individuals, alright? Bear with this text heavy post!
Complete Lineage:

Beware! This image takes a /long time/ to download! It's only if you want to see all of the below laid out into a picture!
~*~
Background:
A few pegasi of high ranking came together each year for a council meeting. They each represented their own tribes and their own lifestyles, and each was a leader of some sort. There were 8 of them, 4 males, 4 females. They were appointed by their tribes and races (subspecies of the whole general pegasus republic) to take care of problems that arose within each subdivision. They, like humans, had their own faults and petty grievances between each other and themselves, but were forced to put those aside to try and fix major problems. However, during one of their meetings, the issue of the Legends arose and they were perplexed on how to solve it.
As the Legends read, "The sacred Tri Balance of the world requires three of the following species for its first round: One must come from the eastern snowy mountains of Hydrophili, another from the northern gulf of Dar-Mar, and the last must be a guardian of the western Marina Archipelago." They knew well the species that lived in each place, the very last being their own kind, and knew they had to do something about this before anything could happen to them.
"Why don't we begin a lineage," the oldest male, Vlartees, began, "And promote good genetics through each other so that one day our great grandchild could be of good stock to choose from?"
The second eldest mare, X'yuna, agreed, "Yes! We can create the best of our kind, and promote our people through this good and sweet child."
"Look at us!" The strongest of the stallions, Ombrutu, puffed, "We are all genetically horrendous in one way or another. It would take millenia to breed out our imperfections to create such spawn!"
"Perhaps we don't have to make a perfect child," X'yuna offered, "but one the commoners can relate to."
"Yes! That is a splendid idea!" Haiku, a rather young stallion cheered, "Let's gather ourselves and match each fault for fault so we can erase our parents blunders forever!"
Eventually, with a little coaxing with the youngest of the council, they all agreed upon matching weak genes with other weak genes in hopes that they could wipe out their imperfections forever and create the strongest spawn possible. The wisest two of them (X'yuna and Vlartees), however, knew that strength could not be created by mixing weak with weak, but were overpowered by their rowdier council members and were paired on opposite ends of the spectrum in hopes of wiping out both of their super rare, but very dominant, genetics.
And thus, Kodisku's lineage was born.
Individual Genetics
In accordance with the lineage, Left to Right, Top to Bottom:
Vlartees:
Gender: Stallion
Height: 15 feet at shoulders
Married to: Mauraleea
Deceased?: Alive
Personality: Kind, chivalrous, gentle, and very laid back. Doesn't force his opinions on everyone, and is super open-minded about everything.
Color: Pure slate grey
Genetics: Vlar got one of the rarest pegasus coloring, and one of the least desirable according to purebreds. He has what're called "morphing" or "chameleon" genes, which means he possesses copies of every color and marking possible in the pegasus world in his DNA. They're all perfectly matched, which means they balance each other out in the individual so perfectly they are all the same color and consistency/patterning to where the coat turns a perfectly solid slate grey. This type of genetic mutation is dominant to other genetics, so whether or not his mare had dominant or recessive genes, his child would be one solid color regardless.
Because males, by default, are always darker in color than females, his children will not be as light as he is. However, they will be one solid color and on the gray-scale spectrum (pure black-pure white), though their mother's basic color will show through. The child will also gain his mother's markings based on a random selection of his father's genetics. For instance, in his son Jolian, he passed on the wing and ear tip, as well as a dorsal stripe. It doesn't show up on his coat at all, though he carries them as dominant genetics so his child will carry them and pass them on. They act recessive in the next generation, not showing up due to the solid coloring, but they do appear prominently in the second generation as "hidden" markings, which are the same color as the child's base coat.
The reason his genetics are so undesirable is because they are very random and sporadic, and often mess up any "planned genetics" the pegasi may have in mind. It also tends to be a less fertile coloring, which is why he has only one child.
He also has the blessing of growing a beard as he ages. Now all the males in his coming generations will grow beards as they age. :)
Scandals: Vlar has always and will always love the first mare he came in contact with, X'yuna. He met her through his brother, who joined her tribe, and found out they had similar problems both genetically and tribe wise. Even though she was born mostly without hair, he still finds her gorgeous, and married her when his mate died shortly after Kodisku's birth. Her mate had been dead for years, but the family still views their love as a scandal and refuses to accept them as anything but what they were originally and frown upon the mentioning of their out of wedlock relationship.
---
Mauraleea
Gender: Mare
Height: 13 feet at shoulder
Married to: Vlartees
Deceased?: Died after Kodisku's first birthday
Personality: Rough, masculine, and mean. Became bitter and bitchy, looking for revenge wherever she could take it, after an affair with Ombrutu.
Color: Sorrel with white markings
Genetics: Maura comes from a tribe where all the pegasi are, for the most part, natural colors and markings. They live out in the wild and on the rougher terrains, where their fur and skin toughens up and their hair (mane/tail) grows shorter than normal. Often times the females have as short, if not shorter, hair than the males, and all their hair is coarse and unpleasant to the touch. They are frowned upon for their natural color scheme (as pegasi are quite vain and believe the more color you can have in a royal, the better) and the consistancy of their fur/hair. They also tend to look a lot rougher and produce rougher children.
The normalcy for passing on colors in her tribe follow regular genetic rules just like normal wild horses, so they paired her with Vlar to try and eliminate that problem.
Scandals: Maura was very upset when she was paired with one of the "weakest stallions" genetic-wise in the council's eyes. She grew up proud, and always thought she deserved better. Although Vlar was very kind to her, and treated her very well, she still found restlessness in her heart. She always loved Ombrutu, and thus had many various affairs with the stallion. He broke her heart, however, by disregarding her completely, and from then until her death she became a very bitter, resentful, begrudged bitch who always made a point to vocally abuse Ombrutu behind his back and in front of him, no matter who she was with.
